This original Portland cutter is a rare example of an excellently preserved piece of early-Americana winter transportation. It is as is from 100 years of storage and is in excellent original condition. The paint striping and decoration is in good original condition. The original mohair upholstery is tattered but serves as a good example and pattern of the original upholstery. The best directions for this sleigh would be to keep it original and preserve it with a good coach varnish and re-upholster with original pattern.
